Industry Expertise:

I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Youth Symphony and have previously served on the Board for Breast Friends Cancer Non-Profit. I am also a current board member of the OMPA. Also, working with non-profits has been a central part of the mission for my company, GMS Media. I am part of the team working to revamp some of the internal technical processes at OMPA and have been pleased to assist with occasional IT technical Support.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

Expanding the membership base, building additional events where industry professionals can share resources and ensuring that the State of Oregon continues to see value from the organization

Independent film production: producer, Event Producer, Community Builder. OMPA board member, Director of Partnered Media at Open Signal and Business owner of YGB Portland. have been the event producer for Cinen|Seen and film showcase for underrepresented filmmakers presented by the OMPA 2023 and 2024. I have been on the executive committee of the OMPA since 2021.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

Growing our membership! Having more events for members and the public both virtual and in person. I would like to see our advocacy efforts grow and bring more work to Oregon. Continue to help grow this robust creative community we have here.

Actor, Stunt Performer and Producer. I am the Oregon SAG-AFTRA President and sit on several prominent SAG-AFTRA National Committees (Government and Policy, Organizing, and Sexual Harassment Prevention). I am co-chairing the Advocacy Committee and currently pursuing an $8 Million increase to our film incentive Cap in 2025. I have also served on a sub-committee that focused on the relationships with legislators and other economic organizations.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

My long-term goal is to get our incentive up to $50M a year by 2030 and ensure that we have career development resources to grow our crew base.

Industry Expertise:

Professional in Film, Television, Commercial, & Events. As Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee, I started the process of presenting a bill to the legislature for an $8 million increase to the State of Oregon Film Incentive Program. Contributing to the OMPA Showcase Committee in 2023, I secured Produce Row as a venue, negotiated contracts and logistics, and ran AV for the presentations. I also filled out grant applications and contributed the majority of copywriting for submissions with the Metro Community Placemaking Grant, RACC Project Grant, Travel Portland Sponsorship, and Oregon Creative Fund.

Film Director/Producer, XR and Emerging Technology Consultant, Creative Director.
Board member of the Ashland Independent Film Festival, extensive grant writing experience, served on the OMPA board for almost 4 years, branding and marketing expertise.
I’ve made significant contributions to the OMPA’s growth and evolution across various committees and initiatives. I also chaired the website committee, leading the first major update to the OMPA website, collaborating with the executive director to refine the organization’s branding.
I spearheaded a successful event on the future of filmmaking and AI, moderating an engaging conversation with experts. As chair of the editorial committee, our team oversaw multiple newsletter iterations, guided the organization’s social media presence, and supported event opportunities. I’ve also served on hiring and non-profit committees.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

I aim to prioritize the revival of in-person events in the coming years, fostering opportunities for connection and collaboration. Partnering with other organizations—both within the film industry and across other creative sectors—to create meaningful, cross-industry collaborations that strengthen Oregon’s creative community.
I am particularly interested in expanding OMPA’s regional presence, ensuring that filmmakers and creatives throughout the state feel supported and represented. I’m excited about advancing the next iteration of the website’s functionality. I also plan to continue serving on the editorial committee, working to grow the OMPA brand and deliver valuable resources that empower our filmmaking community.

My experience is in the production office as an office production assistant, production coordinator, and currently a clearance coordinator. Currently, I serve on the North Clackamas School District Educational Equity Advisory Committee. I served as a Black community liaison for the City of Milwaukie on multiple city projects, including sitting in on Milwaukie Police Department bias training. I’ve been a Clarkes Grange member for over 20 years, and through that organization, I’ve coordinated community events, silent auctions, benefit breakfasts, and delivered food boxes to families in need. I’ve been a writer and speaker for numerous protests, rallies, political and non-political events advocating for historically marginalized peoples and communities.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

I would prioritize the connection of the film community through partnerships with other creative organizations, I would prioritize advocating for the inclusion of historically marginalized folx in all areas of film, I would prioritize the continued support of the Pathways Program which includes more specialized workshops, I would prioritize creatives getting onto projects with the continued overhaul of the online directory and membership, and I would prioritize the creating of fundraising opportunities to sustain and expand OMPA offerings.

Writer & Producer. I worked in higher education fundraising for 40 years. I also worked with legislatures on funding bills. As CEO and President at the Montana State University Alumni Foundation, I managed a $10 million budget and worked closely with a 24-person board of directors. Started 4M Films in 2020, and in 2022, we produced a short film called TOUCH. We moved to Portland in 2023 and are looking forward to helping OMPA and the media production ecosystem in Oregon thrive..

Founding member of the Indigenous Media Guild and have taught classes about different aspects of the media industry at Clackamas Community College and NAYA (Native American Youth Family Center). 

Native American business owner and production Audio Mixer for 15 years. During that time, I have worked on independent films, shorts, commercials, industrials, and documentaries.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

My main goals are based on creating more media jobs in Oregon and keeping our diversity strong. Making it easier for everyone to find and apply for grants, keeping our tax incentive strong and increasing it, and promoting our local studios to outside clients would help our industry grow.

In addition to filmmaking and photography, and running my freelance business for the last 15 years, I have experience in event production and planning. For 3 years I ran Briq Studio in Chinatown, up until the building sold and I was forced to vacate. During that time, I gained experience writing grants, hosting fundraisers, art shoes, and many other events.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

I would like to find strategic ways to build and empower the filmmaking community, online directory and membership, and I would prioritize the creating of fundraising opportunities to sustain and expand OMPA offerings.

Currently chair of SMPTE RIS (Rapid Solutions Group), Academy Software Foundation Committee, Special Peer Groups, and TV Academy Member for Visual Effects and Emerging Media, Board Member Wemersive ( Augmented & Virtual Reality company), experience in fundraising and budgetary in film production. Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

To Expand diverse membership, explore new mentorship and education opportunities, onboard new partners to help fund new initiatives for filmmakers, work with state and local government to work on new programs and campaigns to get more out-of-state work to produce and film in Oregon. Offer education and training to OMPA members and the film communities in Oregon by working with film, games and technology partners I currently work with. Have a technology task force to keep our friends in state and local government aware of the advancements in the industry and how that will enable and impact our industry in Oregon.

Through my work in event production and content creation, I’ve built a strong following and established a reputation in the industry.

My career spans working for the NBA, Nike, Wellness Industry, Financial Services, and currently an advertising executive. I serve as a Board Member for BLAC where I mentor, support, and raise money for our mission to bring more Black people into advertising. I’ve also served on the board for the Leisure Hour Golf Program and as a mentor/coach/advisor committee for the Maurice Lucas Foundation. I was also a part of an organizing committee to raise funds for Janelle Bynum. I am a passionate writer and thrive in telling the real stories of real people with influence.

Industry Expertise:

Indie producer, director, and editor of music videos and short form narratives. Most of my career has focused on low to no budget filmmaking which is where the majority of my producing, crowdfunding, writing, directing, and editing experience resides. I have worked in software with Red Giant filmmaking plugins, at Wieden+Kennedy as a post-production coordinator, and now serve as the Community Media Manager for Open Signal. This wide ranging industry experience allows me to bring in multiple perspectives on folks trying to break into the scene and what barriers are still in place.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

I’m very interested in supporting COCO in whatever ways needed, since the lack of Black and POC focused filmmaking community since COVID is something I’m acutely aware of. Especially now, ensuring a safer space where we can gather and connect in art and community is essential.

I am the Co-owner of Framework, a production studio and equipment rental house and a freelance cinematographer with fifteen years of experience working in the film industry. As a full time freelancer, business owner, patron of the arts, and mentor to others, I interface with numerous people in our industry every day.
I believe I am the best and most willing representative of the entire filmmaking community in the state. As not only a passionate storyteller and empathetic teammate, but someone devoted to growing our opportunities in Oregon, I will be an indispensable asset to the OMPA Board.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

I would like to create more avenues for mentorship, skill development, conversations around wage transparency, and opportunities to connect with fellow media makers in an effort to increase engagement. Whenever I ask people what they wish they’d see more of from the OMPA, the answer often has to do with events and group activities. I appreciate that the OMPA has increased the amount of networking opportunities since things were suspended during the pandemic, however there is still a long way to go, and I aim to continue to grow the organization’s efforts to be more inclusive and active on that front.

My area of focus is in adoptee advocacy, alongside a community of adoptees, I concentrate on building culturally affirming, trauma-informed programs for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color adoptees.
Nonprofit co-founder and executive director with experience in project management, community-led fundraising, and grant writing. Skilled in advocacy, representation, and securing support for transformative initiatives. These combined skills and experiences equip me to advocate for and represent community needs on a board, with a focus on advancing equity, accessibility, and healing.

As a board member, I aim to create inclusive pathways for underrepresented voices in Oregon’s media industry. I support policies that ensure accessible resources, fair pay, and opportunities for marginalized creators. Additionally, I strive to foster connections and support for creators at all stages. I believe in OMPA’s commitment to rethinking industry practices to build a truly equitable one. I want to expand OMPA’s reach and create a community where everyone’s contributions are valued, and people from diverse backgrounds can thrive.

Industry Expertise:

Producer & Assistant Director. I’ve worked as the Film Career Manager at the nonprofit organization Outside The Frame and have worked as the co-manager of the Oregon Media PA Pathways program. Through both of these positions, I’ve been able to help people who are underrepresented in our industry get their foot in the door and build their film careers. At Outside The Frame, I work specifically with young adults who are a part of the homeless youth continuum to ensure that they are able to develop their filmmaking skills through free educational opportunities, individual mentorship, and on-set work opportunities.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

As an OMPA board member, I’d like to prioritize listening to the voices of our BIPOC community members and making sure that there are equitable opportunities being created for our most underrepresented members. I’d also like to ensure that more time and effort is being put into training our up-and-coming filmmakers so that they are encouraged to foster their film careers in Oregon as opposed to going to other states.

Goals as OMPA Board Member:

I am a working SAG-AFTRA actor with experience in network television, direct-to-streaming television, low-budget indie features, and voice-over for commercials. I am also a screenwriter and emerging indie film producer. As a production coordinator and production accountant, I have worked on indie features with budgets of around $1 million.
I also have nonprofit leadership experience as the founding executive director of Unseen Films Oregon. I have management and financial oversight experience from past work in the for-profit sector, and I am taking the time to match that real-world experience with higher-level learning.

Goals as OMPA Board Member: 

I’m interested in developing partnerships in our local industry that can engage Team Building, Educational Development, and Representation of member voices.
Internships and mentorship programs that offer entry tracks for junior roles on local productions is incredibly important. Finding more pathways for on the job development would be a boon to our local industry, especially those in underserved communities.

After graduating with a B.S. in Digital Video & Cinema, I worked as the Digital Media Director for the Campus Suicide Prevention Center of Virginia. My experience as an infantryman in the US Army, including a year-long deployment to the Middle East, honed my leadership, resilience, and teamwork skills, which I’m eager to bring to the board.
